StarHub and the Premier League can’t stop kicking goals. The telco is now officially the launch partner of Premier League Plus, a direct-to-consumer app where fans can stream the latest matches.
The partnership comes as StarHub are set to release an annual pass for fans. Starting from next season (which kicks off on the 1st of June), the official Premier League broadcaster will offer an annual Premier Plus plan. If you’re already a StarHub customer, you can grab it for $238, or $380 for non-StarHub customers.
Previously, the only way you could catch Premier League games was by purchasing a monthly pass via StarHub. Now, fans have more options up their sleeve. The pricing is as follows:
- Premier League Plus 24-hour pass: $16
- Premier League Plus monthly pass: $44
- Premier League Plus annual pass: $399
- StarHub Premier League monthly pass (new customers): $40.74
- StarHub Premier League monthly pass (existing customers): $25.46
- StarHub Premier League Plus monthly package: $69.90
- StarHub Premier League annual pass: $238
Interestingly, all StarHub plans work out cheaper than subscribing to the Premier League Plus app directly. If you’re on a StarHub plan and a Premier League fan, it’s your lucky day – you can effectively pay $160 less per year than if you were to subscribe to Premier League Plus directly.
However, if flexibility is what you’re after, consider the Premier League Plus app’s $16 24-hour pass. It’s likely to make more sense for those who are casual watchers or those who don’t want to lock themselves into another annual subscription that inevitably gets forgotten about.
The Premier League Plus app will allow fans to catch all 380 Premier League matches, as well as FA Cup games. The app will also feature highlights, replays, multi-camera viewing options, personalised team hubs, and streaming in up to 4K where supported.
The streaming shake-ups were announced on Thursday by Yann Courqueux, StarHub’s vice president of entertainment, alongside Joe Cole and Nemanja Vidic, former Premier League stars.
Mr Courqueux said the new Premier League app complements StarHub’s offerings very well, with viewers able to watch other competitions and sports, not just Premier League.
Every StarHub Premier League subscriber will get access to the Premier League Plus app, he added. From the 2026-2027 season, which kicks off on the 22nd of August, the Premier League Plus app will be integrated into StarHub’s platforms.
