The Pitt is exactly what the doctor ordered. Between the senior physicians with years of experience, medical students on their first day, and all the gnarly injuries and illnesses in between, this fast-paced medical drama will keep you on the edge of your seat.

After the first season aired in January last year, it’s only gotten bigger and better. The first 14 episodes of The Pitt averaged 10 million viewers, making it one of Max’s most-watched shows of all time.

It went on to make a big splash at the Emmys too, amassing 13 Emmy nominations, of which it won five, including Outstanding Casting For A Drama Series and Outstanding Drama Series.

If you’re a fan of the gritty 90s drama ER, the almost-real-time storytelling of 24, or you just want to see if it lives up to the hype, here’s how you can watch The Pitt in Singapore.

What is The Pitt about?

The Pitt is set in the emergency department of a frenetic Pittsburgh hospital. We follow patients and the medical staff that treat them, in almost real time, with each season containing fifteen episodes, one for each hour in the ER.

It features Noah Wyle, who played a third-year medical student in the critically acclaimed 90s medical drama, ER. This time, he’s climbed the ranks and plays Dr Robby, a senior attending physician.

It’s hailed by many US emergency doctors as one of the most realistic medical dramas to hit TV, as it tackles issues of assault against healthcare workers, COVID-19, and the effects of the nursing shortage.

Will there be a third season of The Pitt?

Even though season two of The Pitt isn’t over just yet, we can’t help but look ahead and hope for the best. Fortunately, we already have some good news! One day out from the season two premiere in January, HBO Max confirmed The Pitt’s renewal for a third season. We don’t know when it’ll reach our screens, but it’s likely to follow the release schedule of years past and premiere in January of 2027.
