It's September, and you know what that means—a fresh set of iPhones. Yep, Apple is set to reveal the much-anticipated iPhone 17 lineup at 1am SGT on September 10.

After months of rumours, we have a pretty good idea of what to expect from the announcement. As usual, we're anticipating four new iPhones; however, the lineup is likely to look quite different this year, with the Plus model allegedly swapped out for the new ultra-slim iPhone 17 Air.

Let's get into everything we're expecting to see on the day, including new features, estimated Singapore pricing, and potential dates for pre-orders and release.

What will the iPhone 17 look like?

It's likely you've seen a whole host of leaked renders and even dummy devices, but the below render from Apple Hub seems to match a lot of the details we've heard, with the Pro models getting the biggest design

In terms of colours, the base iPhone 17 is rumoured to come in Black, White, Steel Grey, Green, Purple and Light Blue, while the Samsung Galaxy Edge-esque iPhone 17 Air will likely offer more neutral hues, with Black, White, Light Blue and Light Gold. As for the Pro models, there's a bit of colour this year, with Dark Blue and Orange expected to join Black, White and Grey colourways. Material-wise, experts suggest Apple is bidding farewell to titanium altogether, bringing back aluminium to the entire lineup.

This year, Apple is tipped to finally upgrade the base iPhone to a 120Hz display (previously limited to Pro iPhones), which will be a welcome but long-overdue upgrade, but may lack ProMotion features.

What new features will the iPhone 17 have?

Last year marked the debut of Apple Intelligence, and while the tech giant's take on AI didn't exactly receive rave reviews, it's likely to make a return (albeit in a more polished way) in the iPhone 17 series.

In terms of hardware, it's unlikely we'll see a big change (if we see any change at all) to the base iPhone 17's rear camera array, which will likely retain the same 48MP main lens and 12MP ultrawide. The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max, however, are rumoured to be getting a new 48MP telephoto lens with 8x zoom, which will join the existing 48MP main and 48MP ultrawide lenses. The odd one in the bunch is the iPhone 17 Air, which is tipped to have just one rear camera. All models are expected to get an upgraded 24MP selfie camera, doubling the count from last year's lineup.

Each year's new iPhone lineup has brought with it a new Apple processor, and the iPhone 17 series is unlikely to be any different, with a "standard" and "Pro" version of the new A19 processor.

As for battery life, we're not expecting huge changes from last year; however, the iPhone 17 Pro Max may be getting a nice boost. What'll be interesting to look out for is the iPhone 17 Air, which may have a significantly smaller battery than its siblings due to its thin frame.

How much will the iPhone 17 cost in Singapore?

It's been a turbulent year for most of the world, particularly economically. Last year's entire iPhone 16 lineup was actually cheaper than the iPhone 15 series, but it seems incredibly unlikely that we can expect another price cut. At the very least, we're anticipating similar pricing to last year, but a small price hike may be on the cards.

Speaking of, here's what the iPhone 16 series' pricing looked like.

When is the iPhone 17 coming out in Singapore?

While pricing information is still a bit up in the air, it's a bit easier to predict the iPhone 17 release date in Singapore. Historically, pre-orders for new iPhones open up a couple of days after the announcement, with the release date typically a week later. In this case, that'll be around September 12, making the release date September 19.
