Xiaomi 17 series: Singapore pricing and availability revealed

Everything new coming to the Xiaomi 17 series

The Google Pixel 10a will boast several new features, like the AI-powered Camera Coach, previously exclusive to the Pixel 10 lineup. Using Google’s Gemini assistant, it’ll scan your surroundings and give you suggestions on framing, scale, and angles to help you take the perfect photo.

The series includes the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Ultra, and a Xiaomi-powered Leica Leitzphone.

Both the Xiaomi 17 Ultra and the Leica Leitzphone include a 1-inch 50MP main sensor, a 200MP telephoto lens with mechanical zoom, and a 50MP ultra wide.

The 17 Ultra introduces the new 1-inch Light Fusion 1050L main sensor, designed to improve low-light performance. It also includes a 200MP Leica telephoto camera with mechanical optical zoom (75-100mm). It boasts a 6.9-inch 120Hz OLED display with 3,500 nits of peak brightness, a high-strength fibre glass back, and an aluminium frame. It also uses a 6000mAh Surge Battery with higher silicone content so that you can get more juice out of your battery without the extra weight and thickness.

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra will be available in black, venture green, alpine pink, and ice blue colourways in the 512GB storage size with 12GB of RAM.

The Xiaomi 17, on the other hand, has a larger battery capacity of 6300mAh, a 6.3-inch Xiaomi Shield Glass display, slim bezels, and the same 3,500 nits of peak brightness. It also boasts a 60mm floating telephoto lens, 20x AI zoom, and a Light Fusion 950 lens for better low-light and high contrast images.

The Xiaomi 17 will be available in black, white, and starlit green colourways, in the 512GB storage size with 16GB of RAM.

The Leica Leitzphone is largely the same as the 17 Ultra, but with a manual zoom ring and an Essential Shooting Mode, designed to recreate the style of some of Leica’s other cameras, namely the M9 and the M3. Additionally, it’ll be available in black with 1TB of storage and 16GB of RAM.

The 17 series is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, so we can expect snappy performance and smooth multitasking. The 17 series will support 100W HyperCharge and 100W PD-PPS charging, so you won’t have to fork out for a specific Xiaomi HyperCharge adaptor to enjoy the phone’s fast charging speeds. The 17 Ultra supports 90W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, while the 17 supports 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.
