As part of their ‘Awe-dropping’ event today, Apple has refreshed its entire smartwatch lineup. The Apple Watch Series 11, Apple Watch Ultra 3, and Apple Watch SE have received several upgrades, like 5G cellular connectivity, a bump in battery life, and added health features.
The Series 11 and Ultra 3 watches will include the new hypertension detection system and a sleep score tracker, so you can measure the quality of your sleep and bedtime routine. You’ll also get access to the sleep apnoea notification system, which got the green light for Singapore last year.
Apple’s entry-level watch, the SE, has also been revamped, with updated additional health features, a crisper display, and a faster processor.
Apple Watch Series 11

Short battery life is a longstanding issue with the Apple Watch. The Apple Watch Series 11 now has a sweet 24-hour battery life (38 hours in low power mode), up from 18 hours. It’s also fitted with the latest S10 chip and a thinner body, reminiscent of last year’s model.
The Apple Watch Series 11 comes with a slew of workout and health monitoring improvements. These include a nightly sleep score so you can understand (and fix) the quality of your sleep, as well as a new AI-powered ‘workout buddy’ as part of WatchOS 26. Your ‘workout buddy’ will analyse your fitness data and history so it can offer personalised motivation during your workout. As if the fireworks effect when you close all three rings wasn’t enough, now you've got an AI model to tell you to "just keep swimming".
The display on aluminium models is a cover glass that's twice as scratch-resistant as the Series 10, while titanium models will continue to have a durable sapphire crystal display.
The Apple Watch 11 is available for purchase in Rose Gold, Silver, Space Grey, or Jet Black finishes for aluminium models. Alternatively, the titanium option is available in Gold, Natural, and Slate finishes.
The Apple Watch 11 starts at $599 for an aluminium finish and $1,049 for a titanium finish (which includes GPS and cellular). It’s available to pre-order now ahead of a September 19 release date.
Apple Watch Ultra 3

It's been a hot minute since we’ve seen an update to the Watch 11’s ultra-rugged big brother. This year, it's back, and this time with a larger screen, a thinner 49mm titanium case, and a slew of new health and safety features.
It now boasts 42 hours of battery life, or 72 hours in low-power mode. Ideal for hikers, the Watch Ultra 3 allows you to tap into satellite networks without cellular coverage, so you can reach your friends or emergency services if something goes awry. As an added precaution, it’s also got fall and crash detection, which will send your location information to emergency services and any emergency contacts. It's also fit with new sport-specific features, like stroke scores for swimmers and track detection for runners.
The watch face is now a wide-angle OLED display, the same one that showed up for the Series 10 last year. It’s currently the brightest Apple Watch face to date at 4,000 nits, an increase of 1,000 nits over the Ultra 2.
The Apple Watch Ultra 3 is available in a natural or black finish. It costs $1,199 and is available for pre-order now, ahead of a September 9 release date.
Apple Watch SE

It's been 3 years since Apple’s entry-level smart watch received a makeover. This year, it’s received notable upgrades.
The Apple Watch SE has received the double-tap feature that launched in 2023, as well as other hardware upgrades like an always-on display and 5G cellular connectivity. It’s also got the sleep score tracker like the Watch 11, the same S10 chip as the Series 11 and the Ultra 3, and a liquid glass face for added durability.
It's got 18 hours of battery life, or up to 32 hours in low power mode. It's also capable of fast charging, getting you from a flat battery to 80% of juice in 45 minutes.
The Apple Watch SE is available in 40mm and 44mm sizes in Starlight and Midnight finishes. It costs $349 for the smaller model and $389 for the larger model and is available for pre-order now, ahead of a September 19 release.
