If you like using a smartwatch, they typically come in two options: Wi-Fi-only or Wi-Fi and cellular (LTE). With a cellular-enabled smartwatch, you can potentially have mobile connectivity on your smartwatch even when that watch isn't near your mobile phone. To get connected, though, you'll need to have a cellular-capable smartwatch, be with a mobile provider that supports smartwatch eSIM, and then link your smartwatch with your mobile plan.
In terms of smartwatch options, Apple Watch is the most popular for eSIM in Singapore, but you can also use a Samsung Watch, Pixel Watch, or potentially any other eSIM-capable smartwatch. Our eSIM smartwatch guide breaks down compatible mobile providers and popular smartwatches, with setup guides for Apple Watch, Samsung Watch, and Pixel Watch.

Which mobile providers offer smartwatch eSIM plans in Singapore?
You'll need to have a mobile plan with either M1, Singtel, or StarHub to make use of cellular functionality on a smartwatch (via eSIM). Whichever of the big three you go with, the smartwatch add-on is called NumberShare in Singapore, which allows you to share your mobile number to call, text, and use data without a connection to your phone. Note that M1 NumberShare, Singtel NumberShare, and StarHub NumberShare aren't available for prepaid customers; you need a postpaid SIM plan.
If you're a new subscriber with M1, select plans include six months of NumberShare, which is normally $7.03 per month. While there's no minimum subscription period, M1 does charge a one-off $38.15 fee.
At the time of writing, Singtel was offering its customers three months of NumberShare for free. Unlike M1, Singtel's NumberShare requires a 12-month subscription, charged at $7.03 per month for a limited time. Singtel also charges a one-time $10.90 eSIM smartwatch activation fee.
NumberShare is an add-on for StarHub postpaid customers. It has a $12.11 one-time charge and normally costs $8.15 per month. At the time of writing, though, StarHub was offering three months of free NumberShare.
If you're interested in NumberShare for your smartwatch, consider one of the M1, Singtel, or StarHub plans below.

Smartwatch eSIM FAQ
Does my phone also need to be eSIM compatible to pair with my smartwatch?
No, your mobile phone can use either a physical SIM card or an eSIM to share your mobile plan with an eSIM-capable smartwatch. The main thing is to ensure your phone is connected to an M1, Singtel, or StarHub postpaid plan before setup.
What are the advantages of eSIM in smartwatches?
Using a smartwatch with an eSIM means you can have mobile data without having to connect the smartwatch to a phone via Bluetooth (or be reliant on Wi-Fi). Practically speaking, even if you leave your phone at home, you'll still be able to make and receive calls, send or receive texts, and use data-reliant apps on your smartwatch if it has an eSIM using NumberShare.
How do I change or transfer an eSIM on my smartwatch?
If you need to change smartwatch, you'll need to terminate your existing NumberShare plan with your mobile provider, then resubscribe with your new smartwatch. If you change phones, no change or transfer should be required as long as you have the same number and are with the same NumberShare-offering mobile provider.
Do Giga and Gomo support eSIM for Apple Watch?
No, Giga doesn't support eSIM for Apple Watch and nor does Gomo offer Apple Watch eSIM. Go with Singtel for an Apple Watch eSIM (via NumberShare). Alternatively, StarHub and M1 also offer NumberShare.
